Ava Na Li

Ava Na Li has a U.S.–China legal background. She studied economic law at Central University of Finance and Economics, civil and commercial law at Wuhan University, earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, and completed an LL.M. in international intellectual property law at Chicago-Kent College of Law. She began her legal career in Beijing. During that time, she worked with the legal service team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, advised the organizing committee and brand owners on intellectual property matters, and handled a trademark enforcement case involving the "Water Cube". Outside of legal work, she has experience in writing and business. She has run a web design company and a small farm, studied creative writing through the Iowa International Writing Program, and published Nine-head Phoenix's Gift in Horizon Magazine. These experiences shape how she approaches both intellectual property work and business or employment-based immigration cases. She focuses on clear strategy, practical judgment, and understanding the real work behind each client’s case.
